Collaged Canvas

Here is a canvas I have been working on for a fun Summer School I run for a group of craft pals.

It started with the background:

Fresco paints, stencils, Staz on Ink stamping and Inktense wash.

It developed into this finished project. I scanned and collage a girlie image from my sketch book.

Book papers, stamping, tissue paper stamping and collage to bring it all together.

Sewing Update #2

When I got to about block 30 of the Splendid Sampler challenge I did think, oh crikey what have I done...I hit the quilting wall...you know a bit like runners do in a marathon! 

But here we are at the half way point and here are my 50 blocks!

Sewing Update #1

I have been doing a lot of sewing lately but haven't shown much here on my blog.

I signed up to a block of the month by Jacquelynne Steves called Maggies First Dance but decided that I didn't want to use the blocks to make a quilt and instead I have made these:

A large weekend bag....which storage my rolls of batting perfectly

And this reading pillow which will hopefully help ease the pain in my arms and shoulders after a long reading session!

Craft Stamper September

issue out today and features a project by me. Time to rummage out some old art stash! 

Summer Flower

Today I am sharing a wooden ATC I made using a stamp by Dina Wakley and once I had added base of gesso all the colouring was done with Faber Castell Pitt Pens. I sneaked in a couple of PA stamps too!
