Focusing...
on the art this afternoon I almost threw the background out I made several weeks ago but something told me to hold on to it! So after lots of mixed media layers here is my documented life journal page for week 12. I am going to share my project over at Paint Party Friday and AJED.

More journaling
In my faux midori. Continued being brave and not sketching in pencil first. Did some stamping in the background using Lin Brown stamp by PaperArtsy and a little journal phrase by Emma Godfrey.

Lose my mind...
the theme to this week's The documented life project. I worked with some neon yellow paint, paint pens, Uniball Signo 207 black ink pen and graphite stick. The theme was quite apt for me, as it has been one of those weeks! Also sharing my work over at Paint Party Friday.

The Overthinker
Another journal page in my faux midori. I used some new washi tape in the background and for her top. The green background was stamped with Shabby Shutters ink and the girl was drawn straight onto the page using Uniball Signo Pen, not pencil sketch first.

Faux Midori
I used some art canvas sheets, added all sorts of mixed media stash to them and then stitch them together to create my own midori-style journal cover. I found a nice little note book for 99p to go inside and there is room for more, so will be keeping my eyes out in stationary shops for another notebook bargain. The first journal page was created with the Art Journal Journey's challenge of 'things with wings' and I am also going to enter it into a new challenge blog called Mixed Media World with their 'anything goes' theme.

It's A Mash Up!
Over at PaperArtsy tonight I share a project I made using one of my new stamp designs ECL05 and also some new stamps from designer Emma Godfrey which are ace!
Here is little preview and I do hope you will hop over to the PaperArtsy blog to see more.

Girl in a Shift Dress
Week 8 of The Documented Life project. The theme was repeated elements and I used one of my #28 patterns. After a layer of clear gesso I created this portrait using acrylics, Faber Castell Big Brush pens and water colour pencils.
I am going to share my project over at Paint Party Friday.

#28patterns done!
Here are the last of my patterns for the Instagram challenge set by Julie Balzer. I really enjoyed this challenge and now have 28 6" x 4" patterns to use. But I have already used 4 to make some birthday cards and have a plan for a few more of them up my sleeve.
